A dialogue between Adib and Kalam about advantages and disadvantages of village and city life.

Adib : Hello, Kalam, where are you going?

Kalam : I am going to my willage home. I am tired of our city life. So I am going to the village to spend some days there.

Adib : You are tired of city life so soon. In the villages, life seems to be dull and monotonous.

There is no charm of life in villages.

Kalam : But you know the environment of cities specially of Dhaka is polluted. Water, air and sound—all

things are polluted. People living in city areas suffer from heart disease, bronchites, high pressure and many other diseases. Life is mechanical and artificial in cities.

Adib : Yes, I agree with you. But in cities, good jobs, educational facilities, medical facilities, housing facilities, employment facilities are available.

Kalam : That's true. But life in the village is very simple and natural.

Adib : I don't differ with you. City life and village life have both advantages and disadvantages.

Kalam : Undoubtedly, it is so. If we can develop both our villages and cities in a planned way, they can be charming.

Adib : Yes, I appreciate your idea.

Kalam : Thank you very much.

Adib : You are most welcome.
