FLOWERS OF BANGLADESH

 Bangladesh is a land of beauty. Nature has adorned her with its all beauty. Flowers are the gift of nature. They are the symbol of purity. Their colour, smell, beauty and charm please us all. So, everybody likes flowers. Many kinds of flowers bloom in our country in every season. There are different kinds of flowers in our country. We don't know even the names of them all. 


They differ in size and colour. Some are large and some are small, some are white and some are red, some are pink and some are yellow. Some smell sweet while others are scentless. Some are liked for their beauty, while others are liked for both beauty and fragrance. The best known flowers of Bangladesh are the rose, the lotus, the marigold, the champa, the gandharaj, the jasmine, the tagor, the jui, the bakul, the beli, the chameli, the kamini, the sheuli, the hasnahena and the lily. The rose is largely grown in all parts of the country. It is called the queen of flowers. The gandharaj is well-known for its sweet scent. The marigold has a bright colour and a strong smell. The beli, the jui, the chameli and the champa are also all nice flowers. 


The kamini spreads its fragrance over a vast area. The bakul also smells sweet. The sheuli has a snow-white colour. The krishnachura, the karabi and the shimul bloom on big trees. They all grow in clusters and are scentless. The hasnahena and the rajanigandha give out their sweet smell at night. The shapla has an eye catching beauty and is abundant in our watery places. That is why it has been our national flower.. . Bangladesh is rich in flowers. The weather and geographical location are suitable for flower cultivation in our country. In every season, special flowers bloom and adorn the nature. Their beauty charm us.
